The Institute of Black Culture and the Institute of Hispanic-Latino Cultures serve as a beacon for our cultural progress and a safe space for University of Florida students. The programming and opportunities at the institutes enhance student learning and support students’ skills to navigating global and diverse work environments. To continue to provide excellent and inclusive programs to support student development and success, enhanced facilities are needed.
Beginning fall 2016, the we will start preparations for rebuilding the Institute of Black Culture and the Institute of Hispanic-Latino Cultures. The new Institutes will meet the demands of modern students while continuing to preserve the cultural histories they facilities represent.
