Black Student Leadership Conference

The goal of the conference is to provide current and emerging student leaders with knowledge and skills that can help them become more effective leaders on campus and beyond. The conference includes a wide array of concurrent workshops sessions, featured speakers, and special presentations, and provides participating students with opportunities to connect and build relationships with faculty, graduate students, and prominent community leaders and professionals.

The framework used for the conference is a composite framework intended to promote holistic leadership development and includes eight content areas:

  • Communication
  • Ethics
  • Empowerment/Health and Wellness
  • Professional Development
  • Diversity
  • Foundations of Leadership
  • Team Building, and
  • Life after Undergrad

For this year’s 2016 conference, we will be inviting students from all over the state and a few from out-of-state to participate in the experience. We are reaching out to various sponsors and vendors to give you all a conference you will never forget.
